About Me
I’m an instructional designer with a passion for creating meaningful, learner-centered experiences that drive real outcomes. With a background spanning both K–12 and adult learning, I specialize in designing instruction that is not only engaging, but purposeful and grounded in research-based practices.
My work is rooted in a deep understanding of how people learn. I leverage frameworks like ADDIE and SAM, along with adult learning theory and backward design, to build experiences that align objectives, activities, and assessments. Whether I’m developing e-learning in Rise 360 and Storyline 360 or facilitating professional learning, I focus on clarity, relevance, and measurable impact.
Before transitioning into instructional design, I spent years as an educator and instructional coach. That experience shaped my approach, I don’t just design content, I design for real learners in real environments. I’ve collaborated with educators and stakeholders to improve engagement, analyze learner needs, and implement strategies that lead to improved performance outcomes.
Purposeful Digital Instruction, reflects my design philosophy. In this work, I created a real-world e-learning experience that encouraged learners to reflect on their use of digital tools and their impact on student learning. The project incorporated learner interaction, feedback loops, and iterative improvements based on evaluation data.
I’m especially interested in:
Designing impactful e-learning experiences
Supporting adult learners through professional development
Using data and feedback to improve instruction
Bridging technology and pedagogy in meaningful ways
Recently, I completed my Master of Education in Educational Technology & Instructional Design, continuing to refine my skills and expand my ability to design effective learning experiences.
